{My New Toy}

Tyson decided to be sneaky & collaborate with my parents for my birthday present. They chipped in and bought me my VERY FIRST sewing machine. Granted, I've been sewing all my life, but I've always borrowed machines from friends/family. I'm definitely stoked to start some sewing adventures on my brand new machine!!

Any suggestions on what I should create?

7.16.11 is the day that my little sister married her best friend. I'm so excited for them & it makes me so happy to know that she's found such a good man. I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!!!

{A Day at Laguna}

Going to the beach = BLISS. The hubby and I decided to spend a Monday at the beach. We HAD to bring our puppy since she had never been. She definitely enjoyed all of the new smells.

Only bummer? Summer in June is so gloomy. We need to go again now that it is July... er... the end of July. Wow! I'm late with my posts. Please enjoy the pictures of Laguna. :)

The Allies

{Aruba Bound!}

Our trip to Aruba is less than a month away and I am getting extremely excited! Between now & our July 31st departure, we have a lot happening. Tyson is taking me to San Diego for my birthday this weekend, Kerry & Joe are getting married the following weekend, and I still need to call ahead and make reservations for some of the activities we are going to do in Aruba.

The big question that Tyson & I are facing is whether to buy our dream camera or not. I've been researching D-SLR cameras for the last month or two and I've found the perfect Canon! I think it would be so much fun to buy it and use it on our trip, but D-SLR cameras are not exactly cheap. We still have a little bit of time before we need to decide.

{Ready to Return}

Tyson & I have decided to move away from giving each other "things" for Christmas and for birthdays. Instead, we are making an effort to give each other presents that create memories. When Tyson asked what I wanted for my birthday, I told him that I wanted to spend quality time with him. The result? A weekend in San Diego!!

I'm such a lucky girl to have a husband who is intentional about spending time with me. I'm eagerly awaiting my birthday weekend! Hotel Solamar, we're coming back!!
